SUMMARY:Vanessa Collier
DESCRIPTION:Vanessa Collier\, a four-time Blues Music Award winner and twelve-time nominee\, returns with her sixth album\, Do It My Own Way (Phenix Fire Records\, September 13). Recorded on analog gear with the band largely in one room\, the album channels classic Memphis soul from Stax and Hi Records\, highlighted by powerhouse vocals\, stirring saxophone solos\, and soulful horn arrangements. Collaborating with legendary Hi Records organist Rev. Charles Hodges and frequent partners Laura Chavez\, Scott Sutherland\, and Byron Cage\, Collier also produces\, arranges\, and performs on guitars\, saxophones\, flute\, and vocals. Tracks like the title song and “Wild As a Rainstorm” celebrate personal empowerment and resilience\, while Rosetta honors Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s trailblazing legacy. With influences ranging from Mavis Staples to James Brown\, Collier blends blues\, soul\, R&B\, and Americana into a contemporary yet timeless sound. A Berklee graduate\, she launched her career with Joe Louis Walker’s band.

SUMMARY:Dan Wilson Organ Trio
DESCRIPTION:Guitarist Dan Wilson’s musical path began in the church community of Akron\, Ohio\, where gospel first shaped his sound and purpose. Channeling the lineage of Wes Montgomery and George Benson while absorbing blues\, hip-hop\, and the phrasing of great horn players\, Wilson has developed what many describe as a deeply lyrical and personal voice. After graduating from Hiram College\, he made his recording debut with Joe McBride and rose to international prominence through his work with Joey DeFrancesco\, earning a GRAMMY® nomination for Project Freedom. Wilson has also toured with Christian McBride\, who produced his acclaimed album “Vessels of Wood and Earth” for Brother Mister Productions. Having shared the stage with leading jazz luminaries\, Wilson continues to balance performing\, bandleading\, and education\, bringing what he calls “a personal dialect” to the modern guitar-organ tradition.

SUMMARY:Anthony Gomes
DESCRIPTION:With a guitar slung over his shoulder and the amps turned up full tilt\, Anthony Gomes electrifies blues and rock at a 21st century crossroads of his own. SUMMARY:Yasmin Williams
DESCRIPTION:Yasmin Williams is an innovative guitarist and composer whose expansive instrumental style has made her one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary acoustic music. Her latest album Acadia\, released on Nonesuch Records\, marks an exciting evolution from solo performer to collaborative artist\, featuring notable musicians including Aoife O’Donovan and Immanuel Wilkins. Williams’ unique compositional approach often begins with what she describes as “ruminating” on a single note until a piece naturally unfolds. Beyond her remarkable fingerstyle guitar technique\, she performs on kora\, harp guitar\, banjo\, and electric guitar\, creating richly layered textures. Following her acclaimed 2021 album Urban Driftwood\, Acadia expands her sound into three distinct musical landscapes\, moving from folk traditions to atmospheric soundscapes and experimental arrangements\, balancing virtuosic precision with luminous\, floating melodies.

SUMMARY:John Pizzarelli Presents "Dear Mr. Bennett"
DESCRIPTION:GRAMMY®-winning guitarist\, vocalist\, and producer John Pizzarelli celebrates the legacy of the legendary Tony Bennett with Dear Mr. Bennett\, a heartfelt tribute released March 3\, 2026 via Green Hill Music. The recording features Pizzarelli’s trio\, bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson\, performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett with warmth\, swing\, and lyrical beauty. For Pizzarelli\, Bennett was more than an influence. His father\, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli\, frequently performed with the iconic singer\, and John later had the opportunity to accompany Bennett himself. The admiration was mutual; Bennett attended several of Pizzarelli’s performances and even sketched the artwork that appears on the album’s cover. Reflecting on Bennett’s enduring impact\, Pizzarelli says\, “Tony’s artistry was just so magnificent. And he was able to continually reinvent himself.” The trio will tour this repertoire worldwide throughout 2026 and 2027.
