What’s that sound? It’s our L-Acoustics A Series A10 Speakers that will be installed at Jimmy’s On Congress.
We received an exciting update about these speakers from Jason Raboin of Klondike Sound LLC last week. Jason is our Event Audio and Lighting Systems Designer, and he learned that the Speaker Series that we will be installing in Jimmy’s has been shortlisted for AV Awards 2020 Audio Technology of the Year.
“What are the AV Awards? Every year, AV Magazine recognizes outstanding AV professionals and companies for their contributions to the AV sector. It’s also the largest and most prestigious night in the business, with 1,400 global AV professionals from every AV market division coming together to network and celebrate everything that makes this industry exceptional. This year, they’re raising the bar by recognizing businesses that are setting new benchmark standards in diversity, inclusion, sustainability, and employee engagement. In addition to forward-thinking practices and environmental measures, each company is also nominated for its ingenuity, innovation, and for creating lasting impressions on the AV industry.
L-Acoustics has been named a finalist as one of those companies in not just one category, but three.
We chatted with Jason to hear more on why he recommended this system for our venue.
“The goal of the venue, at least from a production perspective, is to create an environment where artists have all the tools they need to do their best work, providing audiences with unforgettable performances.
I was asked to provide the best possible audio system, and L-Acoustics is recognized internationally as one of the best. Their new A10i speakers are the perfect fit for Jimmy’s and will be one of the many things (insert better word than “things”) that will attract artists and audiences to the venue. The system will allow us to provide pristine audio to every seat in the house.
Speakers will also be distributed throughout the venue, to ensure that the audience can hear every note no matter where they are, even in the bathrooms.
For lighting we are installing an all LED that will feature 15 moving lights as well as ETC fixtures like you would find in a conventional theatre. The system will provide any look that an artist or event may want from a classic torch singer jazz club vibe to a full on dance club experience.”
We are so excited to know that the quality of our audio will be on par with every other element of the building process taking place at 135 Congress. You can read the full article here. Thanks, Jason!
