Berklee College of Music Professor Jason Anick is a renowned jazz violinist, composer, and educator. Known for his imaginative improvisation and versatility, Anick’s passion for music began with fiddle tunes and classical training, later expanding to jazz studies at Hartt Conservatory. While still a senior, he joined Grammy-winning guitarist John Jorgenson, touring and recording with him for a decade.
As a bandleader, Anick has led projects like the Gypsy Jazz Rhythm Future Quartet, an Americana Acoustic Trio, and a contemporary jazz ensemble with pianist Jason Yeager. His acclaimed recordings, including Sleepless, Tipping Point, and Sanctuary, have earned recognition from Downbeat Magazine as a rising star in jazz violin.
Anick has performed globally at prestigious venues and festivals, sharing the stage with artists like Stevie Wonder, Tommy Emmanuel, and Guster. As an educator, he authored Violin Fingerboard Mastery (2022) and regularly teaches at string camps, clinics, and workshops while contributing to Fiddler Magazine.
