Returning to Jimmy?s after four straight sold-out appearances, the YellowHouse Blues Band is excited to be back to present the ?First Ladies of the Blues?, paying tribute to the pioneering female singers who?ve helped shape the Blues from the 1920?s to today! The YellowHouse Blues Band is a 9-piece, high energy blues & blues rock band with horns and multiple vocalists, known for putting their own take on popular songs and making them their own. Coming from the Seacoast of NH and ME, they have performed sold-out shows all over New England and are excited to be back at Jimmy?s! This set includes timeless songs like Bessie Smith?s 1929 recording of ?Nobody Knows You When You?re Down and Out?, Memphis Minnie?s 1929 recording of ?When the Levee Breaks? – famously covered by Led Zeppelin in 1971, Aretha Franklin?s 1968 ?Ain?t No Way?, to songs by contemporary artists like Susan Tedeschi, Larkin Poe and Joanne Shaw Taylor!
