Jimmy’s Jazz & Blues Club Features NEA Jazz Master & GRAMMY® Award-Winning Jazz Producer, Composer & Trombonist DELFEAYO MARSALIS & THE UPTOWN JAZZ ORCHESTRA on Wednesday January 12 at 7 and 9:30 P.M. Along with the Marsalis family of musicians including his father Ellis, Delfeayo Marsalis was destined to a life in music. At the age of 17, Marsalis began his career as a producer and has to date produced over 120 recordings – winning one GRAMMY® Award and garnering several GRAMMY® Award Nominations.

Delfeayo Marsalis is brother to Wynton Marsalis (Trumpeter), Brandford Marsalis (Saxophonist), and Jason Marsalis (Drummer). As an acclaimed producer, composer, and trombonist, Delfeayo Marsalis has also dedicated his prolific career to music theatre and education. In 2008, he formed the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, a highly entertaining ensemble that focuses on maintaining important jazz traditions such as riff playing, New Orleans polyphony and spontaneous arrangements.
