Hope Tianis a self-taught oil painter, born and raised in Beijing China. While
studying at graduate school in New York State she answered a life-long calling of making visual Art her profession. Now residing in the Boston area, she spends her days expanding her already vast repertoire of oil paintings, collaborating with gallery owners and educational institutions, supporting not-for-profit organizations, and partnering with international classical performing Artists.

Hope’s style of oil painting can be described as impressionistic heavily influenced by her keen interest in and on-going study of the master painters. When you stand before a Hope Tian original oil painting, you will experience an emotional expression, textured layering, vibrant colors, free strokes with thick heavy paint.

The beauty of nature and expression of Art always touches my heart and reaffirms who I am as a human being. In their purest form, oil paintings bring forth transformative thoughts and deep feelings. A landscape bathed in shadowy light, the jagged skyline of a city, the sensuous lines of the human body and the daily joys and struggles of the human condition are some of
my favorite subjects to give birth to on canvas.

Beauty in one’s eyes always comes from the heart. For me, the true beauty of painting comes from my ever-present love of life. My Art is an extension of who I am at my core. What I perceive through my eyes through my heart I give back in
my paintings and share with my collectors around the globe.
