Christian McBride is joined by Ursa Major, four rising young master instrumentalists including saxophonist NICOLE GLOVER, guitarist ELY PERLMAN, pianist MIKE KING, and drummer SAVANNAH HARRIS. Michael King is a Chicago-born pianist who began drumming at 4 and transitioned to piano at 14. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, he tours internationally with jazz legends. Savannah Harris, a New York drummer, started at 2 and has collaborated with artists like Geri Allen. Nicole Glover, a saxophonist from Portland, released Strange Lands and teaches at Princeton. Ely Perlman, a guitarist from Tel Aviv, studies at Berklee and leads projects including a jazz quartet and indie band “SWIMS.”
