GRAMMY® Award-Winning Trumpeter & Composer MAURICE MOBETTA BROWN is a mastermind as a trumpeter, composer, arranger. When Maurice picks up his horn his soulful melodies soar into a rarefied space, producing his own distinctive sound. The Chicago area native won the national "Miles Davis Trumpet Competition" as a teenager & then established himself in New York by recording with Aretha Franklin, Wyclef Jean, De La Soul, Macy Gray, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lettuce & The Roots. Brown's second album, 'The Cycle of Love', was named by NPR and Huffington Post as one of the Best Albums of the Year. Following its release he was invited to join the Tedeschi Trucks Band where he won a GRAMMY® for his horn arrangements on the band's debut album, 'Revelator'. Brown has joined 8x-GRAMMY® Winning superstar Anderson Paak multiple times on worldwide tours, performed with jazz megastar Kamasi Washington for numerous sold out shows & performed on many of Legendary Jazz Saxophonist Kenny Garrett's albums.
