Her performance of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” at President Obama’s second inauguration earned her recognition as “a new musical star.” Olatuja’s debut album Timeless received critical acclaim, and her second release Intuition: Songs from the Minds of Women showcased the work of female composers. A passionate educator, she founded the Vocal Breakthrough Academy to empower singers. With a focus on breaking genre boundaries, she says, “I want to break the barriers and break the lines down between genres,” promising more exciting projects ahead.
