About The Band:
The award-winning group Ameranouche (pronounced uh-Mare-uh-noosh) plays a passionate style of music they call “World improv.” They are veterans of the Newport Jazz Festival, Djangofest Northwest, Southwest, and Northeast; Exit Zero Jazz Festival; Muzikfest; and the National Press Club, among many performances.
Ameranouche’s hot acoustic Gipsy-inspired music is the mixing of bebop, jazz swing, flamenco, and many other planetary music influences, having been described as rhythmic, vigorous, yet elegant for a fresh and highly enjoyable sound musically celebrating our world’s shared humanity.
