On this day in 2006, Amy Winehouse released her second album, Back To Black. The album was primarily based on her up and down relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil, and went on to spawn five singles. Amy worked with producers Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson, and also called on The Dap-Kings to capture the sound of pop and soul of the 1960’s that became a signature of Amy’s sound. The album has sold over 16 million copies worldwide. Tragically, it was also Amy’s final studio album prior to her premature death by alcohol poisoning at the age of 27.
