  • Sugaray Rayford

    Sugaray Rayford is a man with a message and a larger-than-life voice to deliver it. In collaboration with producer and songwriter Eric Corne over the past three albums, the soul-blues powerhouse has developed a sound that blends classic soul melodies and funky R&B grooves with raw blues energy. Their first project together, Somebody Save Me, earned Rayford a 2020 Grammy nomination, followed by Blues Music Awards for Soul Blues Male Artist and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year. His follow-up, In Too Deep, garnered multiple honors, including the Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Album of the Year. Rayford's latest release, Human Decency, continues his focus on music with purpose.     Lindsey Webster is a two-time Billboard "Artist of the Year" whose music spans jazz, R&B, pop, and soul.   • The Weight Band

    The Weight Band continues the legacy of The Band while forging its own path in modern Americana. Led by guitarist Jim Weider, a former member of The Band and Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble Band, the group includes keyboardists Brian Mitchell and Matt Zeiner, bassist Albert Rogers, and drummer Michael Bram. Together, they blend roadhouse rock, blues, country soul, swamp pop, and folk into a sound Weider calls the "Woodstock Sound." Their second studio album, Shines Like Gold, features nine original songs and a cover of Willie Dixon, recorded live over four days at Clubhouse Studios in Rhinebeck, NY. The album mixes robust roots rock, poignant ballads, and gospel-tinged harmonies, showcasing the band's cohesion and musicianship. Since their 2017 PBS debut on Infinity Hall Live and the release of their acclaimed debut World Gone Mad, The Weight Band has performed across the U.S., keeping the spirit of The Band alive.

    Legendary blues guitarist Ronnie Earl is a four-time Blues Music Award winner for Guitar Player of the Year (1997, 1999, 2014, 2018) and has served as Associate Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music. Over a career spanning more than three decades, Earl has released 28 albums, including Mercy Me (2022) and Grateful Heart: Blues and Ballads, which won Downbeat Magazine's Blues Album of the Year. He has performed alongside legends including B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Carlos Santana.     Midwestern artist Lissie is a multi-talented tour de force who will release her new Americana-tinged indie folk album Carving Canyons on September 16. Ahead of the release, she has unveiled two songs: Flowers and Night Moves. Debuted by FLOOD Magazine, the haunting, sun-soaked song Night Moves channels Fleetwood Mac grandeur as it explores sensory memory and considers multiple realities versus one's own point of view when navigating heartbreak. Carving Canyons is about looking within while dealing with the uncertainty of the future finding hope in personal and worldly adversity, no matter what the forecast might say. Inspired by her incredible intergenerational female friend group and the nature that surrounded her, Lissie traveled to Nashville and co-wrote much of the album with a majority of female-identifying songwriters?including Bre Kennedy, Madi Diaz, Morgan Nagler, Natalie Hemby, Kate York, and Sarah Buxton who also contribute additional vocals throughout the album.

    Cryin' Out Loud is a dynamic blues band that is currently touring and recording albums. And with that we are happy to announce that Cryin' Out Loud's "Play Loud, Smoke Often" has been released! Produced by Grammy award winner Paul Nelson and recorded in Bangor, Maine, their debut release is highly anticipated and inspired by the likes of The Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Little Feat, and of course all the blues greats. There is something for everyone! This album is full of brand new originals and features guest appearances from Erik Lawrence, Paul Nelson of The Paul Nelson Band, and Ana Popovic's renowned keyboardist, Brooks Milgate. Their blend of traditional blues with their innovative and modern original material has made them the band to see in Maine.

  • UNH Jazz Combos Showcase

    Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club is proud to host the University of New Hampshire Student Jazz Combos for their Fall Concert on November 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Dinner service begins at 5:00 PM, followed by five sets of live jazz performances starting at 6:00 PM, each lasting 20-30 minutes with short intermissions between sets. Tickets are General Admission and seating is first come first serve. Join us for a wonderful evening of music, community, and celebration as we showcase the incredible talent of UNH's student musicians!

    Since founding Roomful of Blues in 1967, Duke Robillard has been a central figure in Blues, Swing, and R&B/Jump Blues. A five-time Blues Music Award winner for Guitarist of the Year and Traditional Male Blues Artist of the Year (2010), Robillard has earned over 20 BMA nominations and international acclaim for his skill and influence. Robillard has released more than 20 albums as a bandleader and has toured continuously for over three decades. He has also performed and recorded with legends including Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ruth Brown, Pinetop Perkins, Jimmy Witherspoon, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Honored with the Blues Foundation's Keeping the Blues Alive Award for Producer of the Year and the Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts, Robillard was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
