    The music of the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will be celebrated with the Friday, March 25 debut of the new band TROUBLE NO MORE at NYC's Beacon Theatre, a venue the esteemed ABB played nearly 250 times. They will be honoring the 50th anniversary of the Eat A Peach record which was released February 12, 1972, and has been distinguished as one of the greatest albums of all time. Trouble No More includes Brandon "Taz" Niederaurer (Guitar,Vocals), Daniel Donato (Guitar, Vocals), Dylan Niederauer (Bass Guitar), Jack Ryan (Drums), Lamar Williams Jr. (Vocals), Nikki Glaspie (Drums), Peter Levin (Keys) and Roosevelt Collier (Pedal Steel Guitar).

    Returning to Jimmy's after four straight sold-out appearances, the YellowHouse Blues Band is excited to be back to present the First Ladies of the Blues, paying tribute to the pioneering female singers who've helped shape the Blues from the 1920s to today! The YellowHouse Blues Band is a 9-piece, high energy blues & blues rock band with horns and multiple vocalists, known for putting their own take on popular songs and making them their own. Coming from the Seacoast of NH and ME, they have performed sold-out shows all over New England and are excited to be back at Jimmy?s! This set includes timeless songs like Bessie Smiths 1929 recording of Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out, Memphis Minnie's 1929 recording of When the Levee Breaks - famously covered by Led Zeppelin in 1971, Aretha Franklin's 1968 Ain't No Way, to songs by contemporary artists like Susan Tedeschi, Larkin Poe and Joanne Shaw Taylor!

  • John Papa Gros

    Pianist and organist John "Papa" Gros has spent over three decades sharing the vibrant sounds of New Orleans with the world. "Sharing New Orleans with the world is my calling," he says. Gros blends funk, traditional jazz, brass band, and blues into his signature musical gumbo, bringing the city's celebratory culture to audiences globally. A graduate of Loyola University with a degree in French Horn, Gros began performing at fifteen and quickly became a sought-after sideman, supporting New Orleans legends such as George Porter Jr. and Snooks Eaglin. Between 2000 and 2013, he led Papa Grows Funk, releasing six critically acclaimed albums and touring internationally. His third solo album, Central City, showcases his feel-good originals and interpretations of classics by Allen Toussaint, Lloyd Price, and John Prine, featuring some of New Orleans' finest musicians. Reflecting on his journey, Gros notes, "I'm walking in the same path as Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and Art Neville."

Produced by Grammy award winner Paul Nelson and recorded in Bangor, Maine, their debut release is highly anticipated and inspired by the likes of The Band, The Allman Brothers Band, Little Feat, and of course all the blues greats. There is something for everyone! This album is full of brand new originals and features guest appearances from Erik Lawrence, Paul Nelson of The Paul Nelson Band, and Ana Popovic's renowned keyboardist, Brooks Milgate. Cryin' Out Loud has built a loyal following of fans in the North East and is currently booking multiple tours.     Jacky Terrasson is one of the most internationally celebrated pianists in jazz, described by Télérama as the "piano player of happiness" for his exuberant performances that leave audiences exhilarated. Born in Berlin to an American mother and French father and raised in Paris, Terrasson rose to global prominence after winning the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition in 1993. Soon after, he toured with Betty Carter and signed with Blue Note Records. Terrasson has collaborated with renowned artists including Cassandra Wilson, Michael Brecker, and Dee Dee Bridgewater. With acclaimed releases including Vonnegut, Cold Coffee, and Life Is Brief: The Music of Bob Dylan, named a Top 10 Jazz Album of the Year by All About Jazz, he balances original compositions with a deep respect for the jazz tradition. Often compared to guitarists like John Scofield, Bill Frisell, and Julian Lage, his music merges harmonic sophistication with groove-driven improvisation.     Andy McKee is one of the world's leading acoustic guitarists, celebrated for his virtuosic fingerstyle technique and deeply melodic approach. Known for combining technical innovation with strong songcraft, McKee has built a global following through his captivating performances and distinctive sound. After nearly a decade without new studio recordings, he returns with Symbol, a six-track EP released via Mythmaker Records and Cruzen Street Records. The project features McKee's interpretations of influential works by artists including Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, and Prince, blending intricate technique with expressive storytelling.     The Nth Power is a New Orleans-rooted trio harnessing the healing power of music. Featuring guitarist Nick Cassarino, bassist Nate Edgar, and drummer Nikki Glaspie, the band blends soul, funk, rock, and R&B with intricate multi-part vocal harmonies and virtuosic musicianship, creating performances that inspire dancing, deep listening, or pure goosebumps. Formed during Jazz Fest, The Nth Power made a splash with their 2013 EP Basic Minimum Skills Test and has since released two acclaimed studio albums and two live records, earning national coverage from Relix, Modern Drummer, Huffington Post, Glide, Consequence, Paste, and SiriusXM.   • John Scofield Trio

    There has been a John Scofield Trio at play since the late 70's and it undisputedly remains his favorite format. The newest incarnation, Scofield on guitar, bassist Vicente Archer and drummer Bill Stewart are having fun. They sail through tightly knit sets that typify the musical diversity that has colored Scofield's long career: time honored jazz standards, rock and blues classics, savvy original Scofield compositions and whatever assorted off-the-cuff improvisations that turn up on a whim. More than just a collection of tunes, they play music that embodies the spirit that has kept improvisational jazz vigorous and visceral since its start. Named for the Grateful Dead song that concludes Scofield's inspired double album, Uncle John's Band features masterful guitarist John Scofield at his most freewheeling. Scofield says, "All in all it's a mixed bag of tunes but we treat them equally as vehicles for improvisation - not just covering the songs."

  • Local Artist Series: Wake Up Mama

    Wake Up Mama, a tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, founded in 2022 in Portland, Maine is made up of diehard Allman Brothers fans, hungry to perform their legendary songs. Since forming, the band has regularly sold-out numerous venues, including Portland House of Music. Vinegar Hill Music Theatre, Jimmy's Jazz and Blues as well as drawing thousands to various festivals. This all-star band includes: Max Sullivan, Slide Guitar and Vocals, Tom Douglas, Guitar and Vocals, Jeff Glidden, Drums, Kevin Roy, Bass, Marc Kaplan, Percussion, Kevin Roper, Keys and Vocals, Chris Dow, Drums, Charlie Bonnin, Vocals. The band performs many of the Allman Brothers songs including Whipping Post, Jessica, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Revival as well as a few notorious deep cuts.

    The Knickerbocker All Stars are a 9-piece ensemble that pays tribute to the great innovators of American roots music, including blues, jazz, jump blues, and soul artists. Their music features a mix of classic blues shuffles, swinging jump tunes, and deep-pocket soul grooves, delivered by a powerhouse lineup consisting of top-tier horn and rhythm sections and soulful vocalists. The lineup of professional musicians of the Knickerbocker All-Stars are Grammy and Blues Music Award (BMA) nominees and winners. The band has been nominated for a BMA for best soul blues album of 2018 and has climbed the radio charts reaching #1 on the Living Blues Charts. They have performed and recorded with legendary musicians like Marcia Ball, Jimmie Vaughan, Sugaray Rayford, Duke Robillard and virtually all the alumni of the Roomful of Blues.
