  • The Nth Power

    The Nth Power is a New Orleans-rooted trio harnessing the healing power of music. Featuring guitarist Nick Cassarino, bassist Nate Edgar, and drummer Nikki Glaspie, the band blends soul, funk, rock, and R&B with intricate multi-part vocal harmonies and virtuosic musicianship, creating performances that inspire dancing, deep listening, or pure goosebumps. Formed during Jazz Fest, The Nth Power made a splash with their 2013 EP Basic Minimum Skills Test and has since released two acclaimed studio albums and two live records, earning national coverage from Relix, Modern Drummer, Huffington Post, Glide, Consequence, Paste, and SiriusXM. Individually, the members have collaborated with artists like Beyoncé, Snarky Puppy, Maceo Parker, Dumpstaphunk, Big Daddy Kane, and John Brown's Body. Their electrifying live shows have captivated festival audiences at Electric Forest, High Sierra, Peachfest, North Coast, and Hulaween.

  • John Scofield Trio

    There has been a John Scofield Trio at play since the late 70's and it undisputedly remains his favorite format. The newest incarnation, Scofield on guitar, bassist Vicente Archer and drummer Bill Stewart are having fun. They sail through tightly knit sets that typify the musical diversity that has colored Scofield's long career: time honored jazz standards, rock and blues classics, savvy original Scofield compositions and whatever assorted off-the-cuff improvisations that turn up on a whim. More than just a collection of tunes, they play music that embodies the spirit that has kept improvisational jazz vigorous and visceral since its start. Named for the Grateful Dead song that concludes Scofield's inspired double album, Uncle John's Band features masterful guitarist John Scofield at his most freewheeling. Scofield says, "All in all it's a mixed bag of tunes but we treat them equally as vehicles for improvisation - not just covering the songs."

  • Local Artist Series: Wake Up Mama

    Wake Up Mama, a tribute to the Allman Brothers Band, founded in 2022 in Portland, Maine is made up of diehard Allman Brothers fans, hungry to perform their legendary songs. Since forming, the band has regularly sold-out numerous venues, including Portland House of Music. Vinegar Hill Music Theatre, Jimmy's Jazz and Blues as well as drawing thousands to various festivals. This all-star band includes: Max Sullivan, Slide Guitar and Vocals, Tom Douglas, Guitar and Vocals, Jeff Glidden, Drums, Kevin Roy, Bass, Marc Kaplan, Percussion, Kevin Roper, Keys and Vocals, Chris Dow, Drums, Charlie Bonnin, Vocals. The band performs many of the Allman Brothers songs including Whipping Post, Jessica, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, Revival as well as a few notorious deep cuts.

  • Local Artist Series: The Knickerbocker All-Stars

    The Knickerbocker All Stars are a 9-piece ensemble that pays tribute to the great innovators of American roots music, including blues, jazz, jump blues, and soul artists. Their music features a mix of classic blues shuffles, swinging jump tunes, and deep-pocket soul grooves, delivered by a powerhouse lineup consisting of top-tier horn and rhythm sections and soulful vocalists. The lineup of professional musicians of the Knickerbocker All-Stars are Grammy and Blues Music Award (BMA) nominees and winners. The band has been nominated for a BMA for best soul blues album of 2018 and has climbed the radio charts reaching #1 on the Living Blues Charts. They have performed and recorded with legendary musicians like Marcia Ball, Jimmie Vaughan, Sugaray Rayford, Duke Robillard and virtually all the alumni of the Roomful of Blues.

  • Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers

    The Wooten brothers' first public performance occurred in Hawaii in 1966 and established their identity as prodigies. Since then, Victor Wooten & the Wooten Brothers (brothers Regi, Roy & Joseph) have racked up 10 Grammy wins, and 26, yes, 26 Grammy nominations. And the youngest of the family, Victor, the brother who learned from all his older brothers, has been named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the ten greatest bass players of all time. As a family band, they are second to none. The Brothers' music bends and defines genres; amplifies centuries, and spans continents. The Wooten Brothers began in R&B before evolving as teens into Jazz, Jazz Fusion, Classical and Country. Then, they emerged in 1985 on Arista Records with an album called, "The Wootens", that combined Electronic, Funk, Soul, Disco, and Boogie, and offered only a sliver of the Wooten whole.

    Eddie 9V's 2024 album Saratoga was a breakthrough, a raw, road-ready blend of Southern soul, blues, rock, and funk that helped launch the Georgia-born artist from cult favorite to national spotlight. Now signed to Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound, Eddie is gearing up for a brand-new album in 2026.   • Yonder Mountain String Band

    Grammy-nominated Yonder Mountain String Band set the tone for a new way forward in acoustic music, carrying bluegrass into rooms and conversations it had never reached before. Nearly three decades later, that same spirit still guides them, alive and present on Good As True (2026), the band's 12th studio album. The record captures Yonder in full stride.     Alejandro Escovedo's New Album ECHO DANCING is an Adventure in Life! No one has really ever been able to define themselves and their music like singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo does. His life in music of all kinds sometimes feels like a swirl through the sky, where his songs point out all the majesty and mystery of how he sees the world. The sounds he makes take him places that he might not even predict, but once there, greatness always follows. It's just the way Escovedo is. It has happened over and over for decades, almost like a fateful agreement he has with the cosmos. There is a good chance it cannot be explained, especially by him. Maybe that's because this is a musician who feels magic, both in himself and the world around him, and is open to the experience of whatever comes his way. It is not always easy, and can have a high demand on how a person lives. But it is the way that Escovedo is always moving forward.

  • Local Artist Series: The Blues Express

    The excitement is growing daily about New England's premier blues band, The Blues Express. The Blues Express delivers a high-energy wallop of dynamic original tunes, along with some of the blues classics they learned from their mentor and friend, Chicago Blues legend Luther 'Guitar Junior' Johnson. The Blues Express is bassist, vocalist and guardian of the groove Mickey 'The Messenger' Maguire, the teenage sensation Nick 'Old Soul' Spencer on mind-blowing guitar and powerhouse vocals, the rivetingly inventive Harrison Foti and the dynamic Magic Sebastian Keen on drums, and the multitalented, world-class, world-traveling saxophonist Pat Herlehy. The band recorded its first album with legendary blues producer Tom Hambridge in Nashville in March.

  • Masters of the Telecasters

    Featuring three of the most respected guitarists in American roots music, this all-star ensemble unites G.E. Smith, Larry Campbell, and Jim Weider for a powerhouse evening of blues, rock, and soul. Performing music spanning Roy Buchanan, Sam Cooke, Bo Diddley, and The Rolling Stones, the group blends deep tradition with masterful musicianship. They are joined by Lincoln Schleifer (bass) and Josh Dion (drums/vocals). Emmy Award-winner G.E. Smith, longtime Saturday Night Live musical director, has toured with Bob Dylan and Roger Waters and collaborated with artists from Mick Jagger to David Bowie. Three-time Grammy winner Larry Campbell, former member of Bob Dylan?s band and music director for Levon Helm, is a highly sought-after multi-instrumentalist and Americana Music Association honoree. Jim Weider, acclaimed for his tenure with The Band, is a Fender-endorsed guitarist known for his signature Telecaster sound.
